Suitable for connecting e.g. lighting cables on bicycles or e-bikes when damp or adverse environmental conditions are a factor. Thanks to the gel filling of the connector, the contact is well protected against moisture in the long term and ensures a safe connection for voltages up to 75 V/DC or 50 V/AC. The cables are stripped during the crimping process and the electrical contact is made; during this process, some gel may escape from the terminal – which depends on the diameter of the cables used and is completely normal. A parallel-closing crimping pliers for wire connectors is ideal for crimping. The correctly produced connection is mechanically firm, moisture-resistant, electrically safe and vibration-proof.
