When CT22 is intended

CT22 is for open cable ends (e.g. Shimano headlight cables, Avinox open/Y, Y extension) — not for system-plug cables without open ends (e.g. Bosch Smart System or Yamaha to CT1B). Several single packs include CT22. Cable workshop packs include no CT22; connectors can or must be ordered separately as a 100-piece box: art. no. CT22-BO100. The connector is moisture-resistant and self-sealing — it is not waterproof.

  • We do not state an ingress-protection rating for the CT22.
  • IPX6 on cable specs refers to the cable product, not automatically to every joint

Assembly notes

  1. Check wires against the stated range. Do not force this connector outside 0.4–0.7 mm.
  2. Strip wires and assign 2-2 per connector logic (do not swap polarity).
  3. Insert until firmly seated. Do not remove the grease filling.
  4. Provide strain relief and abrasion protection on the frame.
  5. Check function and insulation.
